Did you know that letting old things go is a very effective concept of renovation? Well, you do now. Traditional bathroom designs are mostly obsolete and out of trend. If you're striving for the better, you shouldn't stick with conventions that are no longer practical, and start moving on to things that are more…trendy.
Traditional bathrooms are composed of an ample moving space for one or two person, a shower, a tub, a vanity sink, a mirror, and a toilet bowl. Modern bathroom designs are not much different, though the layout clearly gives off a perked-up, contemporary look. More importantly, modern bathrooms are centered on functionality, to make the place more comfortable; and using it, easier. Here are a few tips on how you can achieve a modern-looking bathroom, by simply deviating away from traditional layouts of fixtures:
Use white rooms. White rooms are almost always effective in providing a modern, sci-fi look and feel. Bathroom designs that favor the use of bright-walled rooms are welcoming to the eye, and, not to mention, unisex. An occasional blotch of black could be effective to provide contrast, but that isn't necessary. Bronze, steel, or polished wood could just as easily give off the desired contrast.
Bathroom layouts with a lot of reflective metals are very trendy as well. Not only are today's metals the statement of trend, but the collective shine they have puts emphasis to the bathroom itself. Reflecting and glinting off light gives the desired effect of living in a twenty-first century house. When overdone, you might even feel like you're living a thirtieth-century life.
Most of the time when properly executed, bathroom designs could define not only the bathroom, but also the person who uses it. It could also make or break the look and feel of the place, if you're not careful. The best way is to think wisely and take time mulling over which design would be most appropriate
